After the vehicle is received by the charity, an official tax receipt is issued to you for the fair market value. This receipt is eligible for a Canadian charitable tax deduction on your personal or corporate tax return.

Yes. A charitable tax receipt for the fair market value of your vehicle is issued after the charity receives the car. This is a valid CRA-recognized deduction. Keep the receipt with your tax records.
